This year the 12th edition of the Autumn Archival School organized by the IIAS will take place from November 19th to November 24th, 2018. The participants from Bosnia Herzegovina, Croatia, Italy, Montenegro, Russia, Slovenia and the Sultanate of Oman will deepen the themes treated during the 28th International Archival Day: private archives and data protection regulation. As usual, the first two days will coincide with the Conference organized by the IIAS, which will takes place at the Tommaseo hall of the NH Hotel in Trieste. The lessons will continue at the Aquapark Hotel Žušterna in Koper and will end on Saturday at the State Archives of Trieste (via A. La Marmora 17) where the certificates of attendance will be given. On Friday, participants will visit the Regional Archives of Koper.

Thursday November 22nd: Dr. Francis GARABA, (University of KwaZulu-Natal), Titolo intervento; Pétria de VAAL-SENEKAL (De Vaal and De Vaal Information Brokers cc) and Antonio MONTEDURO (CEI – Central European Initiative Executive Secretariat): Workshop on the IIAS Dictionary of Archival Terminology; Workshop Data Protection in Archives (Introduction in to workshop Peter Pavel KLASINC, Miroslav NOVAK and Romano TRAMPUS, Objectives: The workshop is aimed at identifying the basic and special legacies of handling protected data in archives and archival finding aids. Special attention will be paid to the problems of data protection in the physical and electronic environment. The participants of the workshop will actively participate in the realization of the workshop with their knowledge and experience.)
November 23rd, Friday : Visit to Pokraijnski Archiv Koper; Workshop from archiving to information technology and vice versa: theory and practice (several teachers).
November 24th, Saturday: Visit of the State Archives of Trieste; Closing ceremony.
November 25th, Sunday: Departure of the participants
