For the eighth year, IIAS organizes the Autumn Archival School, taking place from October 20th to 24th. The first two days will be dedicated to the 24th International Archival Day, held at the NH Hotel. The School will begin on October 22nd, at Istituto di Cultura Marittimo Portuale of Trieste, where the lessons will take place. On Thursday a visit to the Restoration Centre at Villa Manin in Passariano (Udine) and to Villa Manin will take place, and the last day, after the lessons the participation certificates will be given to the participants.
The participation to the school is at invitation of the IIAS Executive Board.

The IIAS – International Institute for Archival Science is currently organising the 2014 edition of the IIAS Autumn Archival School for young archivist already working in archival administrations.
The School will take place in Trieste (Italy) on October 20th to 24th (arrival of the participants on October 19th, departure on October 25th); compulsory to the School is also the participation in the 24rd International Archival Day, to be held in Trieste on October 20th-21st, 2014, where professionals and scholars of the field, coming from all over the world, will meet and debate this year about: “Archives: political powers: civil society (archives and human rights – access and legal requirements, i.e.: data protection, copyright – advocacy and outreach – education)” (for information, please consult our web site: www.iias-trieste-maribor.eu, or email to: info@iias-trieste-martibor.eu).
The IIAS will be glad to examine your participation proposals, and invites you to submit 2 participants from your country. Please remember that the cost of the participation is € 800 (=eighthundred), to be reduced to € 300,00 (=threehundred) for participants coming from IIAS Member Countries (Austria, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Ukraine), intended as a contribution for the costs of your stay in Trieste during the period of the events (travel costs not included).
To carry on with the project started in 2012, the topic of the sources for World War One will be continued, and therefore we wish the participants taking part in the events having ready with them an ISAD(G) form describing the fonds on the subject in their own archives, to be discussed at the School.
